In order to further guide college students to actively participate in the era trend of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation", enhance graduate students' innovation and entrepreneurship awareness, cultivate graduate students' design ability, promote the innovation and development of robot technology, and make robot technology and its products better promote economic development and benefit the people, "the first China graduate robot innovation design competition" was held in July 2019 In the end, there were 32 first-class awards and 2 second-class prizes from 96 universities in Harbin.
"The second China graduate robot innovation design competition" will be hosted by Xi'an Jiaotong University and Xi'an Municipal Science and Technology Bureau. The final of the competition is planned to be held in the West China Science and technology innovation port in the summer of 2020. 3、 Scope of entries
The scope of entries involves new concepts, new technologies and new products of robots. Focusing on the theme of a certain robot field (such as smart home robots, medical robots, service robots for the elderly and the disabled, educational service robots, etc.), the abilities of postgraduate students in market demand insight, innovative design and key technology realization are mainly evaluated, so as to improve the innovative practice level of graduate teaching and scientific research, and promote the development of robot industry.
4、 Participants and methods
Officially registered master's and doctor's degree candidates in China and the current undergraduate graduates who have obtained the postgraduate admission qualification.
2. Competition method
Each team usually has no more than 5 participants (the first applicant is the team leader by default), and the number of instructors is generally no more than 2. Interdisciplinary and cross school teams can be formed. The unit where the team leader belongs is the participating unit.
3. After entering the national finals, the project and team members shall not be changed.
4. Entries that have won prizes in one of the theme events of China Graduate Innovation Practice Series competition can not participate in other theme competitions with the same work.
5、 Competition system arrangement
According to the maturity and technical characteristics of the work, it is divided into simulation group, component group and integration group.
Simulation Group: provide robot 3D simulation analysis, digital design, algorithm and other schemes, and put forward feasibility analysis report;
Component group: provide innovative design scheme and prototype of robot parts, and demonstrate the function of components;
Integration group: provide the innovative design report and prototype of the robot, and carry out the actual demonstration of the whole robot;
The first stage (preliminary competition): robot innovative concept design stage
For online review, each team must submit the technical proposal or design planning report of the declared project, and the review expert committee will conduct online preliminary evaluation according to the uploaded report.
Stage 2 (final): robot design and Implementation
The teams entering the finals need to carry out computer dynamic simulation, work display and on-site defense according to groups. The evaluation experts determine the award level of the works.
6、 Schedule arrangement

Content: the official website of the competition publishes the information of the second competition, such as the way of competition, the notice of registration, the requirements of works, the setting of awards, etc.
2. Competition Registration and submission of works
Time: April 30, 2020
Content: students should form a team of 5 or less or register on the competition website as individuals. The project team must submit the robot innovative concept design before the deadline for preliminary evaluation of the competition.
3. Preliminary competition
Time: before May 31, 2020
Content: preliminary review and release the final list.
4. Competition final
Time: summer vacation 2020
Content: the finalists will compete in the science and technology innovation port in Western China.
7、 Award setting
There will be one special prize team, five first prize teams, 10 second prize teams and 15 winning teams. In addition, there are awards such as the best organization award and the excellent instructor award. The Organizing Committee of the national competition will issue certificates and prizes to the winning teams or individuals.
